followed closely by Godfather 2
for gangster films about the footsoldiers
Goodfellas and the much underrated Donnie Brasco
for bloody gangster films i guess you cant go past Scarface
for avante garde gangster films Reservoir Dogs and Ghost Dog

OMG! How come nobody's mentioning The Shawshank Redemption? It's easily one of the best films EVER made, EVER. That's like before the dinosaurs and everything! I honestly don't know one person who's seen it who disagree's that it's one of the best films ever made (which I know is just asking for "I've seen it and thought it was " replies - not big and not clever :D :)).
Please if you havn't seen it then go rent it, it will make you feel so special :) Do it for me. Do it for yourself, but most of all do it for the children. |

as for requiem for a dream, hm it was very special but not THAT good!
It does pull u down like almost nothing else, but im missing something..
godfather 2 is better than 1 due to DE NIRO!! who kicks pacinos ass(!)
pulp fiction is a movie i really like but im always wondering whether it is cause its really good or cause EVERY! tells me its good..

The Shawshank Redemption is the flick with freeman right? very good but cannot be compared to classics like those mentioned above..
a way underrated movie IMO is 12 monkeys--->simply AMAZING!!
ive seen swordfish recently...nice action with a travolta that CANNOT be cooler! i love this guy! a propos

i saw this vid a while back... i think it was called divorcing jack, it had rachel griffiths in it as a nun...
black comedy - really good, but i dunno if it made it big or not
most movies with tom hanks in it are gonna be good... forrest gump, green mile, castaway
snatch is a pretty top movie too... i gotta rent that one day and figure out wat the hell brad pitt sez..

for all you TAs out there who havent seen Run Lola Run, I suggest you go see it. Anyone who has, post a review or something so people know to GO SEE IT!!!!!! Its the greatest "trance action" film ever! Aside from the amazing soundtrack, the cinematography is fantastic and the plot is just as impressive. |
