| Ok so here's the story (not long) i caught a virus called pirate which infects every exe on your pc cause by network sharing (sharing your main windows drive) dunno how it got there but i've lost everything on my pc cept the net and msn which i reinstalled. Tried formatting but pc wont let me as every drive seems to be in use (even tried this in safe mode), so i'm gunna try using the jumper switch but does this wipe all your drives if this switch is removed?. Was planning on trying this after tuesday when college breaks up, Need the net for my revision needs :D, so any info on jumper switches and are they safe to mess about with? cheerz. |

there is a jumper that clears your cmos.. if you put in your XP (98, 95, 3.1, whatever floats your boat) cd, and boot from it, you can easily format the drives, no problem. |
