Internet Connection Sharing

I've looked all over the web, different people have different ways of doing this, but let me explain what I'm trying to do here.
I have 2 computers.
One computer is using a WiFi connection to get on the web, both have NIC (LAN) Cards in them.
I purchased a crossover cable to connect the two computers together.
I want my other the computer, the one w/o a WiFI connection to be able to access the internet as well.
However, when I tried to enable Internet Connection Sharing on my WiFi connection, it told me the IP 192.168.0.1 was already in use by my LAN card.
Which doesn't make any sense, becuase my LAN card is using 192.168.1.101. I had to set my IPs to static so the two computers would network with each other.
If anyone could help me out here, I am totally lost, usually I can figure stuff like this out, but I really don't understand.
Thanks

| Running Windows XP I assume. Did you try running the Network Connection Wizard on both machines? |

Yah one box has WinXP Home, and one has WinXP Pro, and I ran the network wizard on both boxes, they can definately talk to each other becuase I see the computers on my Network, but I can't use the internet on the other box, and when I was researching online you can use the internet on the other box, but you have to enable ICS, but when I did that, I got an error telling me that IP was already in use on my network.
It's definately not my router, becuase I changed the IP of my router from the default.
Thanks again

i suppose that the 192.168.xxx.xxx ip address you are using are for your lan connection between your two computers ..
you got to set the other side (i presume home, since pro should be considered the server side of the client 'home' software) to see the internet ip address .. see if your 'home' computer can ping your internet ip address .. then if so, then you can probably touch the internet through a lan ..
i have no idea how to set that up, but that's probably the reason why you are getting that error .. your computer thinks the internet ip address is 192.168.xxx.xxx, which probably isn't ..

| for the host computer, did you change the setting to 'allow other computers to connect to the internet throught this computer' or whatever? i think it's somewhere in network settings. don't remember off hand. |
