How Much Memory??

Ok guys, i did the searching for this for about an hour, so no flamming me for not using this 
:p
anywho.. i'm thinking of picking up an iRiver so i can record my mixes (my laptop isn't holding up too well anymore...) and i was wondering how much memory is recommended for recording only? I know if you record a 80min mix it takes up to atleast 100 or so MB in 192kbps.
I don't need a massive amount of memory, i'm only using the iRiver to record and transfer to my comp to store and record. so do you think something like 256mb or 512mb is sufficient enough??
