Floyd's needs help. I went there one night to see DJ Santana spin and they didn't put him on until 4:30 and let him spin for less than an hour. Worse, whoever they had on before blew. A shame because it's a nice venue... |

I went to floyds to see Hybrid and they had them on at 4 a.m and all the locals on during the prime hours..made no sense and the crowd was super sketchy..saw a guy there that looked like the wrestler Ric Flair.Club might have a 24 hour liquor license but i don't think i will ever go there again,if i go to Tampa i think i will just continue to go to club underground |

Undergound is picking up the slack, they have a really nice set up in there. as long as they can keep not so much "breaks". Really good system in there. |

I don't mind the breaks as long as they are bringing in more of the intelligent u.k breaks and not the florida crappy funky breaks. But they could use a bit more diversity in their bookings...i am impressed by who they have for the july 3rd show good range of acts. |

for a tampa afterhours the venu is perfect. The promters could use a little help. Imagine a huge set there, a few names, pvd, ferry, van bueron, teneglia, for an 6 hour set. would be money but they do got some sketch in there, i do remember that. |

tough to get the breaks out of tampa, or turn them on to some good trance. As long as i have lived here trance rules the clubs. It's funny thought, must of my friends that are break freaks go down to miami, or nyc and come back and just brag about the music. Thats when I can only shake my head. Central florida is the birth of breaks. Sucks when you have to go to a club and hear the same they played back in 02 on a saturday night, or a ty remix of some 80's song. This town is coming around though |

Floyd's could definitely be a place for an A-list talent, haven't been to Underground yet. It seems only the Amp gets the message that Tampa people will turn out for prog/trance. :( |

The problem with Floyds is, when they do have good shows coming, they don't advertise them well. When Hybrid came, I didnt find out till the day of the show. And they say that they play progressive and trance, but their resident, Chris Craze, definitely only plays Florida Breaks. Me and my friend DJ Shawn David, were told by one of the promoters of Floyd's that they want our type of sound in Floyd's, progressive and trance. He said he was gonna have us play there one night, and yet, we still havent had the chance yet. And this was about 2 months ago. |
