Yeah very true, however i dont really agree that "theyre not big" here...
Im sure theyre more well known than Danny Howels or Dj Dan or Seb Fontaine or Mark Farina....
Point is, id love a nice big pure trance act to come to Aria:D |

Maybe more well know then Mark Farina maybe, but then again that's about it from that list. However i think alot of what brings in ppl to clubs in montreal has to do with promotion. You go to Aria for howells, and more then 50% of the ppl in the club have absolutly no idea who the guy is. Other then Tiesto, Armin, and Oakenfold. I don't thnik most montrealers are very inform about edm unless it a passion of theirs like ppl on this board. For the most part its promotion about a big party happening that bring ppl in. not the DJ. Until you start hearing EDM on the radio i don't think this will change any time soon.
therefore if aria promoted Above and beyond like mad. it would do Ok.
but definatly. There's not a hole lot of DJ that seem to draw these days |

Above & Beyong are not well known in Montreal and this is for sure.
But they will come this fall.
As for A&B more popular than Danny Howells, DJ Dan and Mark Farina???
Mark Farina is 100 times more popular than A&B in Montreal and Danny Howells about 50 times more popular.
You need to understand that Montreal is not a trance city like Toronto but it's more house oriented. Really big trance dj's are popular but the average popular trance dj's are nothing here.
BTW, Mark Farina can pack almost every clubs in Montreal. |
