A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who partied at psykoala, the first technomedical foray into outdoor psypartying. It was lovely to see you all again. It hadn't really dawned on us til then that we may not see you all for several months. :(
This did tinge the usual full on happiness we have at parties with a feeling of sadness. We'll miss partying with you guys and I'm sure we'll be right up for a party on our return. And yes, we did contract psykoala fractilitis, a spangly fluffy bear syndrome but it's good to be a bear in the woods!
I think you will all agree that it was a fantastic spot, there's nothing quite like 'aving it large outdoors and hopefully we'll be able to use this site again at some point. ;D Djing outdoors is always magical for us and to be honest there's little that beats it. I think outdoor parties add an extra free-spirit dimension to psytrance, it always feels like the two were made to go together, i think its psy's organic nature.
I really loved peter's grotto in the woods, for me the most perfect chill out room of all time. :) It was kind of like being in a tree 'womb'!
The night could not have happened without the the Industry Street rig crew who provided a fantastic system and a most marvellous geodesic dome to put it in. thanks also to the Fatmoon crew (top job - as always), the other dj's - Clumsy, Psybase, Burt Fogg, Chris Clique, Liz, Le, Sven & SV and all those who wished us well.
We are still amazed at how well it went and I'm very pleased there were no unwanted guests, (especially ones wearing navy blue). those paint baller squadies at the end seemed to provide the most excellent cover for the get out!
Hopefully, this will be the first of many Psykoala outdoor parties, but you'll have to wait a little while.... ;D We will let you know about the next one 'Psykoala returns'!
And we'll keep you posted on the psykoalas ozzy antics!
