John '00 Fleming Severely Injured in Boating Accident
Gigs cancelled until 22nd July
International DJ John '00 Fleming is recovering in hospital after a boating accident at the weekend nearly cost him his life.
John was enjoying the hot weather with friends down near Brighton UK at the weekend when he came off the back of an inflatable doughnut and subsequently got hit by the boat that was towing him. Fortunately he survived with a collapsed lung, four broken ribs and a deep gash to his arm.
Often this type of accident can prove fatal but John was luckily wearing a life jacket which took the brunt of the propeller. Without it the blades would have sliced through his chest.
John will be released from hospital in the next few days and is expected to make a full recovery within the next 3 to 4 weeks.
In the meantime all gigs have been cancelled until 22nd July on medical instruction.
John send his apologies to all his fans who were expecting to see him particularly in Brazil and Ibiza and he hopes he can make it up to them in the future.
All being well he should be able to honour all gigs from July 22nd onwards.

| OMFG he should really sue the people that were towing him. Imagine how many shows he will cancel for that negligence. |

John has been working nonstop like a madman over the past 6 months - doing DJ shows all over the globe from Oz, to Korea, South Africa, loads of trips back and forth between North America and Europe, all the while making pitstops at his home studio to produce, remix, do radio shows, and make his compilation. He was viscerally exhausted when I saw him in Vegas (on the heels of the SF show the night before) and he told me that he really needed to take a break before he hit South America with Astrix this summer.
The guy is simply amazing and anyone else who knows him can corroberate this. No drinking, drugs, partying etc. and yet he still weaves the most spiritually profound DJ experiences this side of the Galaxy, and even more impressive, he still has this school boy charm about him when he plays out; a look on his face that says that he enjoys it just as much now as when he did 20 years ago. His workrate is unbelievable and so maybe if there is a positive that comes out of this whole thing, it will be that he takes a bit of a break to reflect on whats ahead. He has overcome Cancer, and he will overcome this. |

| He really is a great role model. His graciousness is holy even. That's why I love John. I'm thinking of him every moment and wish him a speedy recovery. |
