Sad day for football, but at 38 you can hardly blame him.
Used to love watch the guy play, always had a trick or two up his sleeve and was the perfect role model for kids across britain, the consumate professional.
Imo the best foreign player to grace the premiership, altho i would be slightly biased on that one.:p |

| Only player I ever liked at Chelsea, and for some reason he reminds me of Eric Cantona :p |

Gianfranco Zola was never a bad player. He was a stunning player untill he stopped playing football, Now. It's surely sad that he stops playing football, But as fastmp3 said, It was just a matter of time.
Anyways, I want to thank him for his wonderful appearances, Especially in Parma and Chelsea, Not to mention the last year in Calgiari where he was stunning as always. |
