We appreciate your enthusiam
Every last DJ on here is in it for the music itself
That I am aware of..
You need a recorded demo mix
Or you wont get anywhere.
Your enthusiasm only demonstrates your enthusiasm
Not your level of experience,
Taste in music,
Mixing abilities,
Or basically WHY a promoter should book you over the competition
And there is ALOT of that. :)

Here's some advice:
You have no demos --- please make demos. Do not distribute In Search of Sunrise 3, I have heard it
Packer told me promoters like handjobs. You want a fast track to becoming famous, you might have to get your hands a little dirty (no pun intended)
Maybe try some netshows like Matthew D's... You need a demo though.
Don't get high on your own sup... wait, nevermind.
Don't EVER post in this annoying ass format again. Use your enter button sparingly.

I love it when I hear young Djs talk like that.
I am an old kind of Dj. House, trance and so forth. Paid my dues and did my time, and still it is a chore to get a gig here locally. I can imagine what some of these club owners or promoters would say if I did not have a demo,
One of the biggest gripes i had as a promoter for some stuff was these young bucks coming up to me and saying:
I love to play music.
I do it for tha music.
Money is not mention.

I would ask well give me a Promo and I will listen and see,
50% of them did not have a promo. The best one was however this one guy from Austin gave me a promo for a Radio spot on one of the stations I use to spin for and I really enjoyed it, until I found out it was the same Mix from that he got off of here. I think it was PVD's sets from Love Parade/ lol |
