seeing as how both of these could be classified as 'new wave' and seeing how there is a 'coldplay vs radiohead' thread down there, I say why not.
I say The Cure
the reason: Disintegration
simply untouchable
and plus I love robert smith's voice better than dave gahan's
whats your choice :D |

The Cure. I do have to say depech mode is the most remixed 80's band....and i hate them all.
The Cure is untouchable. |

| Both are great but I say THE CURE. a better poll would be Depeche mode vs pet shop boys. |

| I never much liked The Cure, and there are some songs by DM that I like, but neither of them really held my ear. So I'm going to say neither. |

so far
5: the cure
1: depeche mode
1: undecided
I never liked the cure either until I heard their album Disintegration
that single-handedly changed my opinion, it is so well done
music doesnt get better than that... as one person described it "complex drum patterns, the layered guitars, soaring bass lines, and rich keyboards blend to create a lush, evocative soundscape that captures the ear immediately" |

Those saying The Cure are obviously brainwashed by the teen pop movement where the industry feeds them their likings.
depeche mode for the free mind |
