Mine would have to be York - On The Beach, the awesome sound of the guitar at the breakdown made me melt :D
The need for more of this sound made me look for more and found Corsten and tiesto etc etc

Hearing the tape of Ellis Dee's set from this rave -aged 11! That changed my life 100% and sent me down the producing and djing path! Up to then I had no interest in music whatsoever.
Managed to track down an original ticket for it too- and I have the tape still. Absolutely amazing set. Wheres the tearful nostalgic smiley.... ? :toothless
Prodigy experience album followed that swiftly (which is the first ever 12" I bought- before I even had a turntable)

DJ Micro - Supernova. Still a great classic that I listen to among all the new that I have.
That was one of the very first tracks I listened to while experimenting on the internet. I was the only one in my home state that liked "techno/dance music" and I didnt know any good artists.
I stumbled upon DJ Micro - Supernova in 2000. That set the standard for my desire in good music. And paved the way for all of the artists from then to now. |
