Last night for about an hour or so, I lost power, and so did a few other buildings around my way. The longest I'd been without power was for about 2 days straight, during Hurricane Jeanne last September. Pretty agonizing, boring time.

So what was the longest time you've been without power?

longest without power for me was 5 days, when my mum failed to pay the electric bill. it was in late summer, so it was blazing hot. funny thing is, for the 3 hurricanes that came through our area, none took my power:o

You're lucky. And not to mention, Central Florida got hit harder last year by the hurricanes than South Florida, and yet we still lost power.

Also about 2 days, when the entire city had a major blackout. Imagine the chaos!
