I throw the parties because I love the music and I love to see people
happy. You don't know how happy I am when I stand behind the dj or backstage and see the whole crowd jumping with their hands in the air. That's what I love to see. And the second reason is I love to see a lot of Talent but nobody bring them here, so I better bring them myself.
I know when the party gets bigger and more popular it becomes a threat
To the competitors. But please compete in a clean way. No dirty job,

Dude, who was the first one to bring Blank&Jones, Rank-1, Bossi of Cosmic Gate, Above&Beyond, Thrillseekers etc. to the US? We have been brought more than 50 European djs, for 80% of them it was their first time in US or LA. These line up you only see in famous club in Europe like Godskitchen UK, Cream, Passion, Gallery, Ibiza or Amsterdam. And you guys can see a lot of club starting to copy what we did. Please tell me which club in US brings more new djs than us last year.

To Heaven, because as you see, most of them are not actually coming.
I plan my events 3 to 4 months ahead. Sometimes I change or switch
around to try to make it better, not worse. I know someone may not like Acosta but we paid double $ than we paid for Scot Project.
Some djs were canceled at the last minute. Believe it or not but I hate
When that happens. If it happens it happens though, it's out of my control. But everytime we cancel one we always try to replace them, and the dj we replace is on the same level as dj we booked originally. We could try to rip off people and just let local djs play and make some money but we don't. Please tell me if any club in the US has canceled a dj and replaced them as quickly as us. They don't even book a replacement, they just let the local dj play. Even we paid more money for Flight because it is last minute booking but we still have to do it, even we know will lost money.
Anyway Thanks for all your support. I very happy to see a lot of truly review, I surprise to see it’s longer than any club here, longer than Ferry @ Ice, longer then EDC or indepenDance….I promise myself to push very hard to give you more great show.
P.S. some TA I very respect in here and they not work for Heaven Dave T, Halo555, Michelle, Dj Tran. They alwyas say the right thing. If you have time please say some thing for us. Thanks |

OK, you DO need to get your facts straight.
1. The cancellation of Scot Project has been known for awhile. Where have you been? He was even booked to play in SF at one point (July 2) and it was cancelled and Ronski Speed replace him? Why was he cancelled? I dunno. But the fact he was cancelled in both SF and LA leads me to believe it was out of LAs or SFs control, or maybe one or the other. Point is, it's been known.
2. With Agnelli & Nelson, don't blame heaven. Their cancellation was just learned late last week. I want to say on Friday. That's AFTER this schedule Heaven made was posted. Whose fault was it? San Francisco's. Dunno who exactly was involved, but from what I've gathered it was because those in SF who were responsible for booking their share of the flight thought it was too expensive....so SF pulled out, and A&N decided not to play LA then. Again, not Heaven's fault.
3. I psuedo-work for Spundae (That is, I don't get paid, so while I'm dedicated to Spundae, doesn't mean I can't praise others), and I can say that you saying Heaven doesn't have any passion is absolutely obsurd. Leon books 95% of the DJs that play for Heaven simply because no other promoter is willing to take chances on them. It's a risk. No other promoter would dare take the chance. DJs that have done well at Heaven have been approached by other promoters. All of them. Whether they have decided to leave for other promoters or stay at Heaven...well, not necessarily my business. It's easy to see who has, but why is another story. Money? Better exposure? Again, not my business. I know some DJs who have personally told me they love the passion behind the scenes at Heaven. It's there at Spundae, but the pure trance passion that Heaven brings does stick out to some DJs...
When it comes to this type of , I'm on no one's side. I say it how I see it or how I know it. 75% of the feedback I give is absolute CONSTRUCTIVE criticism...and yes, I give Heaven plenty of criticism, but the things you are saying....are, simply put, stupid.

Now Soundscapesus.. You have NO right to come and post something like that unless you are Scott Projects Manager, booking Aggent or Groupie ;) So you need to stfu.
You do not know how hard Leon works his ass off and works his ass of for Us the club goers! Countless hours are put in every day for our bi-weekly events. And when they happen they Go off!!! The Dance floor is packed with Happy danceing people.
Leon and Gang are the people that have balls in our town. After all if it wasn't for Leon I would have never seen Rank 1, Blank and Jones, Thrillseekers, Jes from Motorcycle,Second Sun, Solerstone, Jan Johnston, Above and Beyond... the list goes on and on. I am sorry up untill now Spundae and or Avalon would have not booked such tallent. Heaven opened the eyes to both Spundae and Avalon to this Talent! (imo)
My hat ( if I where to wear one) goes off to all thouse who are involved with Heaven. With out Heaven my Friday nights would not be the same! |

WOW, called out by Mr. Heaven himself. I was busy watching Gabriel & Dresden live from NYC wishing I was there. I don't normally post that much although I've been on TA for years. I was a lurker way before signing up. There's not much more I can add that Heaven, Dave T, Sweetcandy, and others haven't already said.
My take on this is that this "soundscapesus" is just a competing promoter or a friend of such. The profile has no info such as age and less than a handful of posts. Since Heaven started well over a year ago, there has always been some competition but it always fizzles out. My guess is that it's because it's not a quick easy buck. I don't think Heaven is getting rich doing their thing and it does take huge amounts of effort and dedication.
SO whatever "soundscapesus" has to say, it's probably best to ignore.
Heaven has a strong hold on their Friday niche doing their thing and always striving to improve. What more can you ask ? I think Heaven chose Friday because he didn't want to compete with Spundae and Avalon, and RED on Friday's had already given up major weekly shows. RED decided to focus on special events due to all the work it took. Heaven really caught my attention when they 1st brought Cor Fijneman and Cosmic Gate. I made the trip all they to LA from New Orleans for Cosmic Gate just to check it out and it was well worth it. Nobody else in the US was/nor is doing anything like this on a consistent basis. Heaven has been friendly with fellow promoters form what I've seen. Last year he gave up his venue so RED could have their anniv party with Scott Bond. I know because I went to it. Oh back to the Cosmic Gate deal - Bossi is the dj behind Cosmic Gate. Nic Chagall is mostly production. No mis-representation there. Before feeling ripped off and acting like a know it all, let's get our facts straight.
As for Heaven bringing Acosta, give him a break. Acosta is not that bad. There's a lot fans out there that come to see him. He may be a little tempermental, but it seemed like he had a great time at Heaven. You can't please everybody, although Heaven sure does seem to try. |

Well Heaven has had Nu-NRG before. I think you know that. He even put them in as part of his Black Hole month last Novemeber playing before Cor Fijneman. I doubt he's brought Jose Amnesia.
This is supposed to be a support Heaven thread now against the haters out there. |

I'm really sad to tell you guys Darude and Dallas Superstars' gig at Heaven was canceled :( Darude has a gig booked at Ministry (Grand Ave) a week before the Heaven gig and the Ministry promoters complained about our gig date being too close to theirs. So Darude's booking agent had to cancel our gig....:mad: Since Darude and Dallas Superstars tour as a "team" DS can't make it to Heaven either. The Heaven crew wants to apologize to everybody who wanted to see these guys but there was nothing we could do about it :(
I can tell you though I've talked to Bossi several times in the last week and he's REALLY excited about playing at Heaven again! He might even play a longer set now because of the cancellations....Bossi's also gonna bring some Cosmic Gate cds with him that we'll pass out to people at Heaven.
Again, I'm very sorry I had to bring you guys bad news :( We're working hard to make sure things like this don't happen again in the future.... |
