It's a reference to Bob Dylan. Not really my cup of tea but I once had to sing old songs along with some older students of mine. In this song, after asking zillions of similar questions, he says:

| I might have to agree with Mr. Pink because you have to take a lot of crap in life before you really can be classed as a man, not just physical stuff, but bunch of mental stuff as well. |
