When I Googled that place, the first thing that popped up was "Lesbian Travel Guide to Top Lesbian Travel Destinations"
...Any info on this venue?? |

The Flame is located on Park Boulevard in between University and Robinson accross from Urban Grind and Cafe on Park.
It is primaraly a lesbian bar but lately Thursdays are their "strait" night. "Numbers" is the gay bar accross the street. Don't worry about getting hit on on a Thursday . . . weekend night maybe.
It is actually a really cool bar with a great vibe a decent size dance floor for an intimate venue. They call it the "mini-On Broadway."
Im lucky I live about three blocks away, south closer to Balboa Park.
And yes I am strait. |

| I spun there about 2 weeks ago for Diversity. Venue is great. Very mixed crowd. All loving the music and the vibe. Not a bad place for a Thursday night at all. I am sure it went off last night. I went off 2 weeks ago, thats for sure. |

| yeah i highly encourage this place also. I spun there about a month ago and the place was jam packed. I played right before Jon Bishop and from start to finish the whole night it was slammed. Awesome for any night, let alone Thursday. |

Donald Glaude rocked it last night, but they did something horrible to the sound system before he came on. Something about neighbors complaining of too much noise, so they turned it wayyy down. Kid Krazzy tore shiet up too.
But anyway, the club is very nice. Recently renovated so it looks brand new, has 2 main rooms, plus a "red room", and a playstation room, plasmas everywhere, good lighting, and a stripper pole. Good vibe, great mixed crowd, no attitudes, cheap drinks. |
