damn it! .. i got dissed a couple of days ago .. this sucks .. i have been dissed before, but this dissing is probably the ultimate ever ..
so i applied for this developer position here in the city, and it is pretty sweet .. good pay .. good environment .. most of all, i read in the paper that the company just won a contract with the DOD (department of defense) to manage their computers ..
anyways .. they gave me the phone call to do a "phone interview" with the HR dude of course .. he pretty much knew sh!t about computers .. i was telling him what i knew and everything, and he goes .. "mm hmm .. yeahhh .. so do you know how to manage networking", and previously i was telling him about Active Directory and troubleshooting ip addresses with dns, gateways, pinging (the simple stuff) .. :whip: .. since the position is an "easy fluke position", because they were looking for a junior fill-in, not a senior fill-in ..
anyways .. he tells me that a couple of developers and him would get in contact with me in a couple of days to do a second interview and explain a little bit more what they wanted from the position .. so i said that's cool .. a couple of days passed .. no phone call .. so i left the guy two messages on his machine (of course on seperate days, because i didn't want to look like a desperate jacka*s .. i didn't want to stoop under that level, because if he didn't want me, i had other job offers and interviews to get prepared for anyways ..) .. no answer back from him ..

have you gotten dissed by a company before ? .. or maybe a chic/guy ? anyone ?? .. it sucks being dissed, after having your expectations lifted a little high with the phone call, eh? .. :nervous: |

something like that. don't remember the whole conversation. just tried to sell myself, of course. |

Yeh, be the annoying . They said they'd call you, and it's your right to know honestly whether or not they are considering you for their position. If yes, great. If no, you've got to know to keep looking.
As for me being dissed? not really. :toothless but I hear it sucks. |

yeah it does suck. for me, first time for a job. many times for chics. i have been handed fake phone numbers before. hahahahaha ... like guys haven't been given phony numbers from chics in the bar..
i remember one time one chic gave me a phone number of some drag queen .. :nervous: :nervous: .. i thought it was her, and arranged for a meet up .. met her, and ran away . :nervous: |

that would be nice ..
then again, it's like in the other side of the city, which takes forever and a half to get there with the traffic ..
i got another job offer i am hoping for that i like, because it is closer to school, and i can commute back and forth between school and work, of course because to get better pay dude .. :) .. |

run like hell!
hate girls that give phoney numbers, i'd rather know if you're not ever interested to talk to me again after the brief chat aided by booze. rejection isn't the end of the world and at least it's honest, rite??? |
