I get off at 1pm today, I am off on Monday and my supervisor is out ALL next week and I also took of Thurs and Friday :) Not sure what I am doing as of yet, I will probably stop over for the TFST BBQ :) Besides that my hubby make some plans that he isnt telling me about yet, I hate it when he does this. I actually like to know where I am going before I get there. His surprises ususally arent bad but still.
So what are you guys doing? |

On the main street here, there is going to be a soap box derby. The kids participate in it and a lot of the businesses set up tables with food and stuff for everyone watching the derby. So, my bank is setting up a table with pretzals and stuff and of course, we are gonna try and get some accounts open. We are new and just opened so business has been kinda slow, which is why I am on here more then I wish to be.
Then I am sure later on I will head up to my aunt/uncles/mom-mom/pop-pops for dinner and just relax. Then thinking of going to Penns Landing in Philly to check out the fireworks with the girlfriend-unit.

a soapbox derby well thats DIFFERENT! it sounds cute actually. hehe. which part of Philly do u live in? (curious) I was just there a month ago...aww thats nice to take ur gf to check out the fireworks...swt :D
as for me...going up to Boston this wkend for a group pool party, then going out to sea on a yacht sunday, hopefully back to catch the TFST BBQ at a reasonable hour...hopefully.

I am currently living in an apt with a friend of mine in Norristown but I grew up in Conshohocken, which is where the soap box derby is taking place. Its about 15 minutes from Philly. Just jump on the turnpike and you are there in no time.
I have a funny story about when I volunteered to help in the derby...
There are 2 different soap box derby's during the year. One for any child who wants to participate and one for mentally/physically challenged kids. I wrestled in high school and our team volunteered to help out. Not everyone did but I did because my house is 5 seconds from Fayette St (where the derby is held).
So, there were these 2 little girls who were born siamese twins participating in the race. One had 2 legs and the other only 1 because they were born with 3 legs and were attached at the hip. So the one with 1 leg came down the street in her car/soap box and they let her out, put her in the truck and drove back to the start. Literally 5 minutes later... I thought this time it was her sister who was in the car, since the othe twin had JUST raced. So I grab the girl and place her on the ground for her to walk to the truck. Next thing I know a mother is screaming "Are you crazy?! She only has 1 leg!!!" I turn around the and the girl is wobbling all over the place! Mom grabs her, gives me an evil stare and just brings her to the truck. Everyone on my team was laughing at me and yes this is something I wont ever live down. I felt bad then but laugh about it now.

Yea I know but then I always get worried about what to wear what to bring etc cuz he never tells me that info. It is sweet though :) |

You can always drive here and drive back after its over or hit a club till the morn and then return home....that is if you drive. |

just pack in a few things besides the essentials -- just in case. :D who knows where u two will go. one of my grls is going away with her beau to the Hamptons to stay at a B&B soon. that is tres romantic. :) and i see madd trips/cruises to the Carribbean. what a way to celebrate the summer/holidays in style |
