There we go... another episode of Life at 140bpm Second Edition is done :P
Luke and I had a good time as usual without any major technical difficulties this time... we do need a nice fancy mixer though!
we miss your xone 62 Mirka!!! and ofcourse we miss you!
There was no pie since Seany boy is not arond till september.
He called me today actually from his camp and he said he is surviving somehow but its rough times! :P
poor guy I dont know why he does this to himself but I am sure he will make a fine soldier after all that yelling and excercising is done hehehe
Luke started off the night with some ancient psy trance and then I played some tunes before my head started pounding from lack of sleep and loud volume so I had to call it for the night :D

Left channel seemed about 6dB lower than right channel all night, including talkovers and PSAs. Might be soundboard. Didn't notice any humming. Haven't listened to entire show yet - only did some trimming. |

ya we noticed at the station that left channel was lower than the right one by about 5 dB or so...
so it is probably the soundboard
station should be doing some upgrading soon I think they said... will see how that goes |

I saw the drawing for the new layout. Losing some floorspace. Still not enough room between the two turntables for a mixer. Tabletop could be higher. Not much room for CDJ players or anything else. Will be cramped with one spinning and one talking in chair at soundboard. Forget about tag-teaming. Need a bigger transmitter, too!:haha: Get your input in to station, or everything will still be the same as before, only on the other side. Where will Mirka put her monitor when she drops by? |

ya that is true... new layout does look even more space constrained... it will be tight I know :(
one mixing at a time thats about it heheh
I got to know some of those people at the station so I will talk to them as well and let them know that something should be done about the soundboard and that we will volunteer to prop up more powerful transmitter that will cover the whole BC :D
dance music love needs to be heard everywhere!
but ya hopefully something can be worked out about these technical issues since I dont think many people care enough as long as there is some kind of sound coming out of peoples radios hehe
yea and tt's will be cramped together again and even less space for mixer that is true... also raising the level of decks is a must cause the way they are set up now is not comforitable for mixing at all.. way too low and back starts to hurt after some time :( |
