Can someone post a sample of the kick-sound used by Tiësto in tracks like Suburban Train, his Silence Remix,... Any simular sample is fine too :happy2: |

You want some Airbase lead with that? Maybe a pinch of Benassi Bros. bass too?
I'm just trying to say: Create your own sound! Why use someone else’s "sound"?
Every artist has his own "sound". It's a unique feature that every artist should cherish and develop!
I don't know any of your work, so I don't know what kind of production level you're on, but any semi-pro artist with any self respect will NOT use other artists branded sounds.
The kick in "Suburban Train" is just a deep muffled kick. It's tons of samples out there. Just search the forum. Anyways, if you do get the sample, it WON'T sound like that when you put it in your mix. Tiësto uses many hardware and software FX to make it sound like that. It might even be layered drum sounds, individually FX-ed.
Try searching for drum samples on this forum. Bren-F has shared some nice ones. |

I've used a lot of different kicks since I started producing music (5 years ago), but they all seem to miss something. Besides, I don't think it will influence my style if I'd use someone else's kick. |

Well then, maybe you should take the advice you just asked for and start layering and adding fx to your kicks. You´ll figure it out. :) |
