Hey guys, i tried to find everyone but to no avail... :( i saw miss julia for a a few minutes before we entered. but as the night progressed i went to the right side of the stage and found no one :( maybe im blind??? dammit. lol
anywho i had a blast out there! well worth the drive there and back! even worth all the problems me and my friends got into... oh well
My review of the night, Steve Angello was rocking it! when he played Deep Dish - Say Hello i almost died! then Morillo, he was good too but his set was way better while i saw him in denver sooo im a lil disappointed... My first time seeing Mauro... OMFG!!! he just blew me away! his build up was sooo nice!!! wish i could see a 3+hr set of his! and i totally died when Edgar V played Without You Near! ooooohhhh droools... also i was very surprised at PvDs set... everytime hes in denver... he never plays up to par!! but independance... lets just say i was very very impressed!! :)
cheers to all of u guys!! |

I just got back from Lake Havasu so that is why I am posting so late. IndepenDance ing rocked. I knew it was going to be a good rave because of the music I was hearing on the way up to the line. Buzz kill by them not letting me bring in my camera and fliers in. Long ass walk back to the car. When I got in Steve Angello was tearing it up. That was cool when he played Blur-Wooo Hoo. I also notice how he was using too much effects. I could have swore he played that new order song twice and you all confirmed it. After his set it felt like the night flew by. That always happens when you take drugs. Before I knew it fire works where exploding and Morillo started to rip it up. I was dancing my ass off. Good thing I remebered the meet-up. I started walking over to the side of the stage and saw a bunch of extremely hot girls talking and taking pictures. When I got closer I wondered if they were TA's. Of course they were it was SweetCandyGirl, Neinerlove, and Miss Julia. I wanted to talk to you more but the music was too loud so I just typed it in my cell phone. I will definetly have to chat with you ladies next time. Yoy girls are CUTE! I know I also met DJWoody but that was about it for the meet-up. Throughout the night I ran into Clovis86 and Krister with his really cute girlfriend. I also saw Electrophile and his girl. It was nice talking to you all. I had never seen Morillo or Picotto before. I love house and Techno just as much as trance. That is why I could not wait for this line-up. Morillo did not disapoint. When he closed with Roman Flugel-Gehts Noch(Steve Angello Mix) I could not get that song out of my head. I just downloaded it. Good thing Miss Julia asked Mauro to play hard because I was totally feeling him. I was laughing so hard when he would put up his arms and make those funny faces. I will definetly go to see him next time he is in LA. Edgar opening with Without you near was tight. First time hearing it on a nice system. BUMPS. Was it just me or did Edgar pick the perfect song for the fire works
Perry O'Neil-Myst (I love that track). He is a good opener, set Paul up perfectly. All I have to say is Van Dyk is the man. His set was flawless. Ending with Other Side, Time Of Our Lives, & For An Angel was so perfect. Did anyone buy the CD they were selling @ the VANDIT booth. I want to get it. Hope you all did not miss out on the 5$ Independance shirts on the way out. I bet the people who paid 15$ were pissed. N-E Ways until next time. Probably Tiesto In Concert for my next massive. Cant wait for Deep Dish @ MM.
P.S. If you liked Van Dyk's set and Picotto's then download Paul Live in Valapariso Chile 9-2-2005 (Has alot of the same tracks he played) also Mauro live @ Rosmontage Rave. |

Hello all TA's,
I'm not really new here, I come in and read all the post. I just finally decided to join. I was there too that night at Independance, there wasn't as many people as I expected, but I still had a blast...!! I think everyone here pretty summed up everything I have to say about the djs and their sets. If anyone in the front remembers, I came up to the front and got on my cousins shoulder to take PVD's picture; which didn't come out too good considering it was only a disposable.
I from the central valley, but I do come down to LA sometimes if there something big happening. I came down there for Monster Massive last year, and I also came down for Armin Van Buuren (my favorite dj) when he came to club Circus back in march. Oh, I just wanted to say "thank you" to sweetcandygirl, for getting my cousins on the guestlist; it really saved them two. I mostly go to SF events because it's closer to me. But I would really like to meet some fellow TA's when I go clubbing or something. Well, that's all for now. Keep on raving everyone..!! |

My first Cali show in a long ass time. I had a hella good time, went to see PVD mostly...but his set left me disappointed. I didn't think his set had all that much energy, not even his four shortened encore tracks. Ahh, well. He can't be great all the time.
Had a great time, anyhow.
