took me a few days to get this post up but damn this weekend has been a really great but long one.
Seneca you played a really great set man. Can;t wait to hear you spin again.
Blank & Jones put up such an excellent set. I haven't seen them spin before, and haven't heard any of there cd's. Oh except cream, is reminded me of being in Germany in 99', at the time I was hearing it everywhere there, I was just getting out of high school and finding my first love. Really turned back the clock for me. Thier set was well done.
Still amazed I was a able to make it to the end of the night, after deep dish and running on 4 hours of sleep. And then going about the city the entier day.
And this weekend was my second and third night out with you TA's I love hanging with all of you. And also having a group of kats I can chat about trance with, damn its been a while. I think I said this last review but damn it rocks.
Dennis, great hanging out with you again. The tour of downtown was interesting in the morn. Seems like everyone at that time in the morn has no clue how to give directions. Hope it didn't take you to long to find the train station.
Andy, great to get a chance to talk with you more this time around. Thanks for the set up on the meet up on friday for deep dish.
Christen, OMFG, Christen, you rock. Can't say how cool it was have someone around that could take a great night and make it even better. Cant wait for the next show.
Zilax great to chat with you and the meet up, look forward to seeing you this friday. It will be rough finding the other TA's inside the rave. I am noticable enough though, so if you see a tall skinny bald guy, bouncing around, its proubly me so come up and chat.
And for the TA's I met but didn't really get a chance to converse with, I.E. Chicago29, jeniferrene, trey and there is proubly a few more that I am proubly forgeting, It was really great to meet you.

Well last Saturday was one of my best nights out in some time. After years of WANTING to see Blank & Jones in Chicago---we've finally had them here---TWICE in 6 months thanks to Godskitchen. Blank & Jones brings back great memories of Europe for me as well as i spent fall 98 - summer 99 in Europe studying / travelling. That trip cemented my love for dance music and it being the years when trance music ruled over there---Blank & Jones "CREAM" was THE SONG!! Last time i asked them to play it and they did...and this time i went back, talked a bit with Piet and requested it again---he smiled---said you got it....and 2 songs later....there it was....and it was AWESOME! The entire night was great---incredible song selection and energy. Great crowd---perfect size to create the right atmosphere and still have room to move around comfortably. Let's hope that was not their last time here!!
Seneca spun a terrific set as well....really got the crowd warmed up...will be looking forward to the Dalph Ralph night as well. Thanks man. |

Well it took me a long time to post this too but I also had a really good time on Sat! I'm so glad I went. Got a chance to stop by the meet-up at Garrett Ripley's for a little while and got to talk to Andy, Tony, Zilax, his friends, Dennis, Steve and their friend Sean (I think.) for a little while. It was a good spot to meet (thanks Andy), easy to find and not as loud as Kazbar so you could actually have a conversation.
We went to Vision right after 12:00 to catch Seneca's set which I'm so glad we did because we all really enjoyed it! Seneca, a lot of us really liked your style and I thought you did a great job and will definitely try to see you for Dave Ralph! And yes, I was loving that Will Saul - Cliff track you played - I asked Dennis what track that was. :) I liked B&J alot but really enjoyed your style a little more b/c that's more of what I like these days.
It was great to see everyone again - Dennis - always nice to see you and had fun dancing again :) and can't wait to get another cd. Say hi to Steve and your other friend. Andy - nice seeing/talking to you again - hope to see you again soon. Tony (Glass) - awesome to see you again this weekend! I'm so glad you had fun your 2nd weekend down here - I would've loved to have gone to Deep Dish but too tired but I had a great time on Saturday! You looked like you were having such a great time! Until the next time.... :) Nice to meet Zilax and your friends, Jennifer Rene, Trey and your other friend....nice to meet you guys as well. Chicago29, you also looked like you were having a great time - had fun talking about WMC! Hopefully I didn't miss anyone.
I won't make it to the next meet up for Astral Projection on 7/23, I'll be in NY that weekend with CTPrincess but I'll try to make the next one. :)
