hi rez.
Basically we sign tracks exclusively. No other label can have that track unless they go through us and talk a deal. the artist of this track cannot go giving to other labels, unless of course without our permission.
Depending on the arrangement, that artist could do another track for another label, OR, they might be exlcusive to our label only, meaning all their tracks come to us.
Some artists perform under different aliases so they can release on different labels.
Percentage of profits varies, usually 50%, but I'm not going into exacts on here :)

no, you should only license individual tunes to a label. i guess its then their option to license it for distribution in other countries after that..
artists payments are pretty much strictly negotiated between the artists and the labels at the time of the contract write up.. besides that maybe serp can offer insight since he's actually been signed =) |

Well i can only speak for myself, but I know that not only does Scotty not allow me to even listen to music from other labels, i have to submit to a weekly beating to keep my allegiances straight. Harsh but fair. :( |

btw: everybody- if you have not heard "Invertika - Hindenberg" go buy it now, it's a VERY well spent $3... (comes complete with unique and wikid motif especially suited to chinstrokers!!). :) |
