of course we have them
aussies whore them with their fine weather

The term “barbecue” was adopted by the Spanish from barbacoa, which the Arawak of the Caribbean used to designate a wood grill on which meat was cooked.

What the hell are you talking about?

uhm...from my travels around the world and BBQing just isnt a big thing. Big dinners are like inside cooking all day events with ovens and pans and stuff...classic. The BBQ hasnt really taken hold.

our friend ignacio (AKA Nacho) from Spain was shocked at 3 things

1)BBQs
2)In-sink disposals
3)more than 1 car per family

I'm not sure any nation can claim credit for "inventing" cooking meat over fire.

This is one thing that I don't get either. I've never seen one of these outside of the US.

BTW, BBQ is common place in much of the world it is just called different by different names and often includes different foods but getting a group of people together to cook food over fire and have a big outdoor meal isn't that unheard of.

Good edit!

I always wondered why people don't barbeque when it's cold out. I'll barbeque in the middle of winter... I actually have to shovel a path from my door to my bbq but it's worth it!
