Virus C + Fruityloops = Disaster??

Hi guys,

I've heard from a couple people that using a virus c in fl studio is almost impossible. You have to render to a wav if you want to listen to the sounds and the control over the synth in FL is horrible. Can anyone fill me in on this??

thanks,

It's a bit more work in FL, as FL does nto have real-time rendering. But it's not impossible. Yes, you would have to bounce-down the individual audio and then trim it and import it. As for control, FL provides full access to the MIDI CC messages so I don't see a problem there.

I've tried it with FL, it wasn't impossible or a disaster. It's just that it's a lot less hassle in Cubase or Logic.

I don't think it's that uneasy to do, I know of a few people who do use their Virus in FL Studio and don't hear them complain... You can always try Static Blue here on TA or Audiopioneers, or Carl B - they're pretty regular Virus users in combination with FL ;)

Most people who complain about something are often too lazy to go that far to make it to work. Even if something is 'almost impossible' still means it's possible with some work.

I Also run my JP through fruityloops (I expect bouncing down audio on a virus would be no different) and it doesn't annoy me at all.. havn't felt the need to throw it through a window yet ;)

LOL im the same guy who records into wavelab via line in svaes the wavs and imports to fruity.I have no problem doing that alot of people dont have the key skills to be able to play the synth properly and record it to match bpm.

i just play my beat open wavelab hit record play my synth save as .wav and import into fruity granulizer.

alot of tikmes people are so damn lazy they wanna just import there synth into fruitys sequencer and work from there.

i take pride in actually playing my instruments when i listen to my mix.

But in all aspect's its not the hardware its the person and they need to realize that running a synth thru line in and recording as wav is not that big a deal.
