Mixers with different effects

So its about that time to upgrade mixers, ive had my current setup for about a year and a half and ive made many changes to my equipment
(PV2600 Watt AMP,2 Technics 1200 MKII's,Yorkville NSX550 Self Powered speakers)
And almost embarassed to say, i have a Pioneer DJM 300 ever since ive started this hobby and havent changed.. all i have ever needed was 2 channels..
but now im looking for something different, something with very nice effects.. i dont care about the price, i just want to make sure iget what i paid for..
The effects in the Behringer DJX700 Mixer i wasnt too impressed with, they didnt even go with the beat..
I've heard many things about the DJM600, but its used so many places, and people could argue for hours that its the best mixer and so on..
but Are the effects worth it? does anybody have any experience with many different types of mixers with different effects and samplers and what are you satisfied with.. Thank you

Oh and please no flaming, i am just simply asking a question.. try to be polite, as stupid as my thread may be to you, somebody out there might want to help me out.

The djm 600 has a sampler built in
But there is also the new dennon i've heard alot of good things about it it's worth a look

I'll go check this Denon mixer out in the mean time, thanks for replying :)

if you only want 2 channels, the Pioneer DJM 909 is nice.

+1

keep your 300- perfectly adequate mixer.
get an efx 500 unit to go with it and you are sorted.
Far cheaper than buying a whole new mixer

as far as the whole effects thing goes:

a) dont buy a mixer with built in effects. you'll get tired of them, and if it's a pioneer, everyone has already been burnt out on the flanger :P

b) make sure you get a mixer with an effects loop

c) buy a good external effector.

its that simple ;)
i got big pants
i like my numark dxm06. as somebody stated before...the effects get real lame after a while. i remmeber when i first got the mixer, i was going crazy with the flanger...it just sounds so cool...lol. anyways...i'd go with the efx500 if i were you

well iv never used an EFX500, but iv read sooo many good things about the Ecler Nuo5... and the Denon has usb to load new effects, and the Ecler has software to combine and mix or make new personal effects...

yeah this mixer is def. nice! bought it yesterday...you can change and modify the fx with the enclosed software!
i tried every mixer in a shop and ended up taking the ecler! :)

but it's quite expensive

yeah all the listed mixers are great and in the end it comes down to a personal preference and what you think is best for you... I ended up comming down between the ecler and the denon... I went with the latter, considering i just felt there was more creativity behind owning it not to mention the channel input matrix... but thats just me. I mean i only have 2 decks but have plans for a 3rd in the future... after i get my efx box (why cant this just be cheep cheep!)

But really if you havent really got a plan for extending your setup then just got with an efx processor of some kind... iam waiting for the efx 1000 to be down under here personally... because next to having more channels, samplers and inbulit effects theres not much of a difference between those mixers and yours if you think about it.

Just remember to have phun :D
