What to do for the two weeks until Deep Dish...

OK, I know this is going to cause massive grumbling, but expanding the perimeter of accepted noise to which to dance crazily involves plunging, sometimes eyes-shut, into other manic weirdness that this town has to offer. Suggestion:
-> Athletic automaton, We Are Wolves, Dutchess Says, AIDS Wolf @ Sala Rosa on Thursday, 7 July ($8). This is going to be a very, very loud show and the last time to see AIDS Wolf (best thing in MTL outside of angry dudes in sweat pants yelling at me) until September. Earplugs: necessary. Brain damage: more than likely. Trusting small women with microphones and hairy guys on drums: never again. Besides, Athletic Automaton used to be in Arab On Radar, and those guys were f*ckin' weird.
Those that go: High-fives to your will to be weird.

| I don't know about you, but masturbating for 10 days straight while waiting for Deep Dish works well for me. So listen up, a bunch of us TAs (and non-TAs) are going to have a pre-meetup before Deep Dish, or barring that, going to meet up inside at some point at some specified location. So if you're planning on making it for DD, then you should join us. It'll be fun to get to know you, and we can engage in verbal mortal combat if you please, or if you're not into that, just rub against each other's scrotums. I promise it'll be fun. |

| Well I can't speak for the rest, but I'll only be in Montreal the Thursday before Deep Dish (i.e. the 14th) for the weekend, before heading back to Pittsburgh. So unfortunately, I'll have to pass. Let us know if, after subjecting your balls to bicycling torture from Montreal to Lachine over the weekend, you still have the will to dance like an to the Gods of House on the weekend of the Bastille. |
