I agree totally. I'm a supporter of equal rights, but that should come without special treatment.
I've had ex girlfriends get offended when they pay for dinner with their credit card, only to have the waiter hand it back to me. Well what do you expect?! |

No, it was just inspired by something I read on Tribe, and this has been something i've been thinking about for years.
Basically, the sole characteristics that used to define us as men no longer exist, especially now that we have the term 'metrosexual'. If it weren't for our physical appearance, how else would someone be able to tell the sexes apart? Men no longer have anything that defines us characteristically as men. We have however, adapted female characteristics with metrosexuality....Hence the emasculation.
...So in essence, in this day and age, men are becoming more like women, and women are becoming more like men.
Before you know it, we'll be nothing more than living, breathing sperm banks. |

Have you seen all the god awful "mens" shirts these days? its almost impossible to buy a shirt now that is nice but not feminine looking. Pink is for ladies... the end!
oh yeah and once i was with a friend and she bought lunch. But the waiter brought ME the bill. So i called over the manager and give him hell about it. Rightfully so. |

I find it kinda funny that a post has been created like this, and NO women are backfiring!! Not that I am, I mean, power to the sexes as themselves (I like to be spoiled), it's just weird that the ladies of TA aren't throwin forth their own feminist views.
I think it's hard for guys and girls in these modern times... Way back when we all had our own social roles, and everyone could manage to find work where they were needed... now the 'logic and reason' and feminine power and masculine dominance has created opportunities for both sides to do each others' jobs.
I'm not really trying to create an argument, just throw in my opinion. yay for me if i'm repeating points already made, my apologies if i start a tussle. |

I think they havnt thrown their 2 cents in because perhaps the jig is up? I think modern men are getting wise to the scam thats been played on them for the last 30 or so years. Id like to see true equality win the day someday but thats going to require a huge change in attitudes, especially from women. |
