slurp slurp....
Anyways I think im just going to stay at Spirit. I gave this some pretty solid thought and this is what ive come up with. Last LOL when Nic opened for Sander his set was sooooo BORING....like put me to sleep boring. And since nobody has confirmed weather him and Sander will be tag teaming at all im going to have to say they arnt going to. Sander is great but he has not been blowing me away like he once has. Now Desyn on the other hand has been....his sets have gotten better and better. Judging from the crowd at Lee Burridge, it's prob going to be about the same this Friday......a nice crowd but not packed at all. As far as the music goes....you know Desyn is going to bring it...plain and simple...no brainer. I can't wait to hear him work Spirit's system.....this is going to be one of the best nights out.;) |

I guess I'm totally opposite of you bro. Nick was AWESOME at LOL when he opened. Bree and I kept talking about how good he was. So far, the sets I've heard by Desyn while chillin with you & Bree have been the most boring thing I've heard. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
I totally agree about Sander Falling off and not being as good lately. But, If I do go out Friday night, I will be spending the whole night in Crobar for Nick & Sander. I have a good feeling about this one. I think it's going to be a great set by both. |

assuming that crobar's free before midnight, u're paying only two cover charges anyway, one for spirit, one for crobar |

News to me...I had no clue you were even into Nic @ LOL. That really suprizes the hell out of me....for real bro with somebody like yourself and the taste in music that you have I can't beleive you of all people can say that Desyn is boring compaired to what Nic played in Toronto....that totally blows me away...but it is what it is. Im sure you guys will have a blast @ Crobar either way.(if you even go);)
edit: You know what, this is gonna have to involve a third party. If I remember correctly, you even told me yourself that you didn't like his set at LOL....You wern't even DANCING!!! Now I guess this is the time when Brianna buts in and takes youre side and proves me wrong but im almost positive that you didn't enjoy his set in Toronto....because I clearly remember talking you that "this guy was about to put me to sleep" and you said the same thing. You better clearify bitch!!!:whip:
edit part 2: Now I know what it was.LOL You were whaAAAAAAACked out on veggies that day LOL>....Nevermind...you don't even have to explain yourself now mister.:haha: :haha: :haha: Any music is good when your on those things.;) |

Just my take on these DJ's but you can gloss over it if you wish:
For me, sometimes these guys are "too innovative" meaning it's too quirky and funky. Sometimes you just need the meat and potatoes, not just something that is obscure just to be obscure. My example is always with Sasha and Digweed. Digweed is the meat and potatoes and Sasha is the vanilla ice cream with rice krispies. Sasha is that experimental side which works but not all the time. Diggers is the heartiness but you'll eventually get sick of meat and potatoes again and again. That's why when together, they balance each other out and make it greater.
Sometimes Nic and Desyn (experimental Sasha) are too off the wall for me and I would like it if they balanced it more.
But really I need to listen to them more in person to make a full judgement. It's mostly from the mixes I hear. Just my lowly observation...
It's quite possible I'm talking out of my a$$ here. |

I'm considering Desyn actually now just for something new and from what you guys tell me. I've seen Sander like 8 times and Nic once but never Desyn, I've only heard his mixes.
Does anyone think there will any effect from Avalon at Spirit this weekend? I'm not sure so soon but just curious... |

I don't KNOW, but I'm assuming that there won't be. If I recall from the post story, the Avalon management is not taking over until the 28th, and when the rumors were going around, Avalon was supposed to be open through this weekend. Scot Project is scheduled to be there on Saturday night. |
