| I'm looking for a program that lets me open multiple folders, click on a wave file, autoplay it, and then let me move it into one of the folders, so I can organize my sounds by kick, snare, hihat, etc. Is there anyone who knows of a program that does this? |

Maybe Google desktop search is what you are looking for?
http://desktop.google.com/index.html
This pluin for it looks handy, too:
http://desktop.google.com/plugins/mp3tag.html
Mp3tag Audio Indexer is a freeware plugin for Google Desktop Search which indexes metadata of audio files.
It supports the following audio formats: AAC, APE, APL, FLAC, MP4, M4A, M4B, MP+, MPC, OFR, OFS, OGG, SPX, TTA and WV. |

i'm starting to think there isn't a program like this! In Fruity loops, and Reason you're able to click on a sound and it autoplays, but you're not able to open multiple windows and move files around.
I'll continue searching. |

| FFS, I was not kidding when I said Explorer. Just put it into single-click mode and keep your audio player open! |

| yeah, I remember when I used to be able to do that, but I have a problem. When I click on an audio file that's not on my desktop, the folder freezes for a minute or so. I believe that I'm the only person in the world that has this problem, so I was looking for a different way of doing it. |
