today i'm waiting for an elevator inside the metlife building. the elevator doors open, and two gentlemen get out. as soon as they get out the lift, they just stand there side by side, so that no one can get into the cabin. the doors shut behind them. press the call button again, and gotta wait a bit longer... everyone that was waiting for the elevator was fuming cuz of these two herbs |
Why oh why didn't you push them aside with one of those offended "Excuuuse meee"? Only sensible thing to do in that situation.
On a related note, one thing that I cannot stand is slow people that have to get in front of a line. For instance, when waiting to cross the street I sometimes experience that these old people will squeeze in front of everybody, and end up constitute an obstruction to everyone with a normal walking speed when the light switches. One would think that they were aware of their slowness, but maybe they're just getting some kind of perverse pleasure out of pissing everone else off.
It also happens sometimes just when getting off the subway or at the end of stairs/escalators, which seem to be the perfect spots for families and couples to get their bearings/debate where to go next.:whip: |

Those numbers mean nothing outside the US.
And that's where it counts. |

its not that the numbers means nothing...but tests are a challenge in academia. it certainly has nothing to do with being socially adept or being able to deal with things in real life. nor does it make u a nice person who is liked by everyone. some of the most booksmart ppl that i know are socially inept when it comes to meeting ppl and maintaining friendships/relationships. not saying anything bad, im just stating something i observed. ::shruggs::

You have somewhat of a good point here. On the otherhand, standardized test are the best objective measure for determining one's intelligence.
And I didn't list my numbers to impress you people, I was just debating with the guy who called me a stupid retard. |
