to quote Nitzsche "at any point one need will surpass all others."
Most people need love (in some form, not necessarally romantic love) so I would argue that you should qualify your question as to what the need you are refering to in opposition to love is. If one is dying of starvation one's need for food will certainly outweigh the need for love, however, if one has all their needs except the need for love fulfilled then the need for love will supercede all others. It's all about balance. |

| I think the question is does the need for love actually exceed the love itself? My answer is yes. |

| i agree with Maslow's pyramid. if you can't find food or water, love is probably not the thing you will think about. |

Then it is quite likely that you would combine your efforts in order to secure food. |
