Ive got ADD and theres a pretty strong link between tourettes and ADD. Often if I can feel myself getting really really hyper I get the urge to do really stupid like shouting as loud as I can in a classroom or whatever. Im usually able to control it when I need to or want to but if Im in a situation where I can do what I want I will just let it out... Its part of what makes me what I am...

I know that feeling.. Ill be sitting here at work, and getting hyper, and out of no where start making wierd noises.

Yeah, I think I have too. Once you become an adult you start to wonder why you are still having these vocal and motor tics. When you are younger, you get away with it, without anyone making a fuss that it's out of the ordinary.

Exactly. Plus the great once-in-a-while when someone says "dude, what's wrong with your eyes...??" gets kinda annoying ;)

same here w/the adhd, lots of muscle tics, also the urge to shout or do something silly, bounce up & down, can control it, but then anxiety and/or panic attacks usually follow.

the extent to which my psychological anomalies go is not being able to pay attention a lot. unless something interests me, ill go off into another world.

Notice all of the symmetry in the above symptoms. I cannot stand to exhibit any of the symptoms on "one side" without exhibiting them to the "other side" equally. I first noticed this behavior when I was probably in kindergarten or younger; when I was walking down the sidewalk, I had to alternate which foot stepped across the upcoming crack. It drove me nuts to do otherwise. I had to "equal things out" or it just didn't feel right. If I were to accidentally cross two or more cracks in a row with the same foot first, I had to follow suit with the other foot until everything was "evened out". I still exhibit this sometimes; I can overcome it but it is noticeable.

whoa.. i used to do this all the time as a kid too. i taught myself not to do it. it was mainly when i walked across cracks, and when i tap my fingers.. am i a psycho??????? :conf:

as far as equaling things out, i can't stand to half the volume on anything on a random #, it has to be 5, 10, 15, 20..., if it's 8, 11 or 13 it bothers the hell out of me for some reason...i must have order dammit :), but maybe it's being a libra as well?

im exactly the same way. if im home alone, ill scream for no reason just because im so hyper and it has to come out. or when im watching something funny on tv, but i cant laugh, but it still is building up inside me, ill scream instead of laugh. my school is an outdoor one, so when i walk outside, ill let a fat one out, or scream, "OH MY GOD!!!!!!!"as loud as i can. everybody across the campus looks my way with "wtf?" faces.. makes me chuckles.
