What I tend to do except from bouncing obviously, is to lower the latency during the latter stages of mixing as most of the stuff being played is pretty much figured out at that stage anyway. The difference in cpu load between a really low setting and a high one can be quite surprising actually.
If you're doing an effect on a track that only plays for a short time, offline processing could be a good idea as well. Cubase have a offline processing history, so if it's affecting only a short event, that shouldn't be a problem to play around with later on. |
