It spanks my VR6-powered GTI, THAT's what it does...
| quote: | | [b]and then your own, ABT. a VR6 engine in a 2000 golf? mmm, not available at our place, just a normal V6 and a limited 210 bhp 1.8 litre turbo engine (only available in holland in a number of 150 :) ) |
In the USA, we don't get the silky-smooth V6 you guys get.... instead we have the VR6, which is less power than the V6, but is smaller and costs less to produce (and is better on fuel, ironically).
The 1.8T cars over here now have the 180 Horsepower, not 150
The VR6 motor over here now makes 204 Horespower, not 174
To all the guys with the Rustang story, LMAO!! hehe, i've been there. One of my first cars was an '86 Olds Cutlass..... you wanna talk about a POS?? heheh, but it was plush!
for all you Civic CRX owners, check this bad-boy out:
(this is what happens when rednecks join the NOPI tour)

my mom's Infiniti J30:
(the red dixie cups to cover the brakelights was MY idea :) )

my last car:
('87 prelude - i had problems with the exhaust so i just did a Peterbuilt-style side-mount unit.....)

my dad's lamborghini diablo!

oh..... and to be serious for a sec,

and yes, i did pay for it!
BTW - i really don't go nuts over the M5 like everyone else does... yeah its a nice car, i drove them all the time (i was a BMW/VW salesman), but its RIDICULOUSLY overpriced! Even Ford has the Kenny Brown Crown Vic which outperforms it and costs about half.... and i'd take that over the M5 ;) (or the E55 AMG!) heheh.....
Cheers! :)

87 S-10 , since that picture, i have changed the tunneau cover from vinyl to a fiberglass one to match the hood.
V8(350) bored 40 over, 202 heads, beefy cam, headman headers, holley 650 double pump carb, griffen alum rad, t-350 tranny w/ shift kit, 2200 stall converter.
The cab has a cut-through to the box with 4 10" JL's facing in, Pheonix gold amp, Mb quartz mids/highs, Sony Explode deck. not much for a system, but it sounds nice.
Over the winter i am gonna be support'n the hydrolics, new rims/tires, paint job.. suicide doors, and a roof chop.

I also need to add a skin to the tailgate to make it flat so i can french the licence plate. ugh, i hate being poor right now :( |

I drive a 1999 - Mazda 323 1.5 16V 105 Horsepower.
Sometimes I drive a rented car of my company: 2001 - Citroen Xsara 2.0 HDi.
The two cars are good for me. |

A crown vic? Youd take that? hell no. the m5 is expensive, and pretty fast, but its not just that, its the look, the comfort, and everything that comes with a BMW that a Ford can NEVER offer. alt the e55 is badass, mmmmmmm(drooling)...late/ |

I never measured, but its airbags :)
Biz....... i'm not saying that i wouldn't take the M5 at all...... let me put it this way - if someone was going to GIVE me either an M5 or the Kenny Brown Ford, sure i'd take the M5........ but if i had to decide to BUY one, i'd buy the Kenny Brown Ford..... half as much, same performance, and VERY understated. Contrary to what my car pics may suggest, i don't like the loud/look-at-me-racecar look..... thats why i don't buy exhausts :)

i gotcha. thats just a different equation because if i could have any car for free it prolly wouldnt be either ;) ! but id still take the M5 if i could actually afford insurance, and believe me, GAS. I definietly like the understated look too, but usually cause flashy kits, exhaust, spoilers RARELY suit any car made for the road. but i think i like the look of the M series because they have a certain agressive style while not being too race car like, or overtly flashy. when i catch an m5 on the street it always amazes me because it almost looks just like a normal 5 series, but its the 18s, and subtle ground effects that set it apart. late/ |
