Ok...we have a challenge.

I need websites that will install spyware on your computer.

If you can confirm ANY sites or links that will install crappy popup software, IE toolbars and the like, please post them here.

Please don't post a direct link however; don't want a TA mob knocking at my door...:p :disbelief

Hardy har har...:thepirate

I must add that we're not going to intentionally install the software with an .EXE

We're looking for sites that will try and install via IE.

But if I was to browse to those site via IE, would it try and install any ActiveX or Javascipt?
milos
they most likely require activex or js, so my guess is yeah. unless you have any restrictions in place for those?

1. Go look for porn.
2. Click the links that look shadiest.
3. If there are more popups than you can close even with popup stopper operating, or if it sends you to a blank screen or crashes your computer, you'll know you're in the right place.
4. Restart windows.
5. Enjoy the mess of what you're registry has become, excessive startup times, and the 1/4 amount of now usable RAM on your system. Not to mention the excessive SPAM, popups, hijacks and redirected links you'll have to endure.

Lesson learned....when you want to trash your own house with a party, make sure the room with your computer is locked

That's actually what we're going to be testing.

There's a bet going on about certain IE security settings and whether it will block or at least notify the user that software is begin installed.

It's a lunch bet man!! :toothless

Hopefully our firewall product doesn't already block stuff like that cause that's what I would need. (can you believe this is work related? woot! :p
