yep .. how do the small private companies supposed to compete with something like this ?? .. there's no such thing as rival company competition anymore .. the only competition out there now are outperforming the previous year's numbers, beating the projected numbers and making the stock go up a couple of percents .. |

This coupon does indeed work, but may not be accepted at your local pizza hut. It is also illegal to use if youre not a shareholder and is illegal to distribute period.
That said, we should all be printing and using them. |

What I meant to say is something that Leopold just said above me. My gripe is with conglomorations, not monopolistic practices. Sorry for any confsuion I have caused with my incorrect word usage. |

| I work for Taco Bell and we truly are owned, along with the others mentioned above, by YUM! In the days of yore it used to be called TriCon, but they aquired more brands and changed the name... I am still unsure about our relationship with pepsi, all I know is that it is exclusive and pepsi kicks t3h pants off of Coke. |

| most restaurants fall under the category of competitive monopoly whereby they all offer the same product type, food, but they each have a monopoly on a certain type of food. |

Not trying to hijack the topic here, but I have to disagree. IMO, most restaurants do not fall into the group of a competitive monopoly. Maybe big chains do but even then, there are plenty of smaller units that actually have a bit of an upper hand not having to pay royalties, fees etc to a main office - and even then the smaller individual units have more chance for customization of their menu to provide greater distinction between their products and the products of their larger copmetitors. It's my opinion that small units that have intelligent ownership and good food will never have to worry about large corporations encroaching as long as they to continue to make sound business decisions..
Oh, and yeah, I also hate big conglomerations, especially in food. I won't even eat at most chains.. |

being one up doesnt mean kicking the pants off of... and internationally, pepsi doesnt have a chance. coke is, internationally, the most consumed soft drink in the world in every country but like.. 3 where local drinks dominate the market. :p
