Maybe. Theres lots of theories about the end of the universe. The universe is expanding and cooling, but it seems logical that one day this expansion will reach an apex. After that apex, no one knows whatwill happen. Will it happen at all? Will the universe simply stop at that point and 'solidify' like a fried egg? Will its expansion turn into contraction, returning to its starting point, building in speed as it reaches its center? Or will it be like a rubber band and instantly snap back? No one really knows, so im applying theory.
We may have gone beyond the classical spaceship metaphor on this one. |

i still don't get your point about the 3rd dimension. i thought the first three dimensions were.. uh.. the ones that make the space we percieve and move through. so why in hell are our conciousnesses trapped specifically in the 3rd? |

Cant answer that one.
Maybe the Big Bang happened and it just happened to throw our conciousnesses into this three dimensional space, hurtling one way only through four dimensional time. Maybe we were once able to move freely in and between dimensions but we developed physical bodies as some sort of bizarre experiment or accident and we got stuck here.
No one really knows, so Im tossing out the randomest of theories :) |

And what about M-string?
According to that there are 10 special dimensions.
Btw, neither can we move through space it's just so that in another time the same elemtaries that we are composed of are in another space. It's explainable through the plancksystem. |

| On a slightly unrelated topic - has anyone ever read the issue of time that had that theory that suggested religion and god were created by humans as a sort of failsafe from being too intelligent and realizing that they have no purpose to exist? |

| Different people have differnt purposes in life. Some people are destined to cure diseases, others to care for the old or sick, etc. We all have a purpose in life, but if all you do is wonder what it is and never go out and get involved, you may never find out what it is. Life is purpose. Life is helping your fellow man or woman. Life is building a legacy and making this world a better place for those around you through the talents you have. By making life better for those around you, you eventually make life much better for yourself. Life eventually comes down to showing love to others and giving yourself to others. Life is love, and love is shown in as many way as you can think of. If everyone decided to help others out, the original question of what's life's purpose would never need to be asked. Anyways, this is probly the only time I'm going to even look at this thread, so don't bother questioning me as that's definitely not the purpose in your life ;) |
