What would be best to buy? Pioneer EFX-500 or a Pioneer DJM-600, I already got a mixer which is JBsystem Talent... The EFX would ofcourse be cheaper, but I'm not so sure if I should get a new mixer instead... Advices would be helpful
Thanks in advance. |

If you already have a mixer, then why spend the money for another one? Just get the EFX unit.
Besides, if you go this route you are always free to upgrade you mixer in the future. |

| IF you were to ge a new mixer, then get something instead of a pioneer, its outdated heavily. EQ's, Sound ,ect get maybe the Nuo 5, Denon or the many others in the range. |

:( , Isnt the Pioneer DJM600 still expensive?
i fodun many places taht are :Sale: $1,099.00
and the Denon is a lot more cheaper, the Nuo5 is about the same as the Pioneer. You could try Ebay? But Unforgiven was right, try getting the EFX. |

Right, and thats why the DJM 600 or 500 was used in Sensation white just a few days ago. Why don't they use a denon, or a nuo5.
Because nothing compares to the DJM. It's like technics. The DJM is built like a tank and is club standard. It will always work out, and dj's will know how to use it. Theres no extras besides a EFX unit which isn't really needed but is a very nice addon if not overused like in Sensation
Untill armin busted out the Xone92 :wtf: |

| yeah uhh was about to say real club standard is xone 92. DJM isn't that great. Yes everyone and there dog might know how to use it doesn't mean its the best. |

| I will wish myself for a Nuo5 as birthday present becouse my mom told me she didn't know what I wanted and I haven't thought anything up >.< |

They still use it for that very reason... because its what the dj's know and trust just the same as technics and they wont phreak out when they get put behind some strange setup... But of course they have been beaten... but at the same time they are doing quite well to hold there position in the mixer market... I mean i personally think there still a great mixer to use and work with... By the way i own the denon x1500, but i wont go telling anyone to not buy a djm because there still a mint mixer.
In response to your question, does your mixer have and efx send and return? Also if it were me i would wait for the efx 1000... which I am doing right now... hopefully it will be out in time for mah birthday in novemeber |

Why didn't they use it at sensation as they had DVJ's there? :)
Personally, the EFX1000 is a 500 painted black with no EQ :wtf: |

| I'd go with the EFX, unless you really want a new mixer. If you want to go the new mixer then I'd say an X1500 or a Nuo5 would be the way to go, unless you really like the 600. The 600 is a good mixer, but the bottom line is that there are better mixers in the same class for cheaper. I don't know why people start getting all wound up over someone saying the 600 is outdated when it's true. How long has the mixer been out on the market?? Exactly.... a while and in that while newer/better mixers have come along. It's the way life goes, things get old and we move on and just because it's in the majority of club installations doesn't mean it's the best either. |
