If you would take the time and properly research it, you would understand that such barbarous (terrorist) acts mostly emanate from marginalized groups of relatively ignorant, dogmatically inclined ideologists (very much like our own Neo-cons) whose greatest weapons are not bombs per se, but fear.
We as humans were lucky enough to have been given such great gifts as cognition (understanding, awareness & judgement) and language, which we should be using to implement rational discourse with those who feel they are being oppressed.
Of course none of this will ever happen, because this would greatly detract from the multi-BILLION dollar contracts that the Military-Industrial complex reaps whenever such conflicts arise.

Furthermore, us lowly citizens will always be kept in the dark in regards to the actual truths of such matters. We only become aware of the State's treacherous abuses of power when insidious programs like COINTELPRO or Project Northwoods are unearthed.
As long as greedy, megalomaniacal men continue to run our world, I don't predict any changes. For them it's just business as usual. Just look at some of Dubya's friends and business partners and you should see what I mean.

BTW - if we do see another major attack on our soil, there will definitely be some huddling together going on - but I doubt that it will have anything to do with "peace." :( :nervous: :( :nervous:

deff talk peace. as much as i would like to bomb the hell out of the bastards that do these types of things, you have to rise above all that and find a solution.. war is always the last resort imo.. |

| im kiddin anyways, if i was a president id propobly do what bush is doing now, the right thing and going to war if 9/11 happend, and i would stick with that till the end of my agenda. if 9/11 didnt happend then it would be a different story. |

With a country that had nothing to do with the 9/11 attacks?
I fail to understand the rationale of that, beyond oil, greed, and dirty politics. Because of our current debacle we're continuing to create an even greater number of people who want to continue attacking us both here and abroad.
But of course it was great for Dubya's reelection campaign, so I guess you're right.
