Its kind of like "audio blogging". People record mini radio show type things and you can subscribe to get them on your ipod every day to listen to.
There is all kinds of stuff available from news to talk radio to indie music shows.
Someone should start an EDM podcast :toothless |

| I saw blank & jones had one, but i couldnt get it to work. Theres another indie show from the northeast somewhere called "Lord Bass". Thats it for EDM as far as i know |

| podcasting is great. it's really nothing new.. all it means is that you can subscribe to RSS feeds of audio files that people post. the ones i regularly listen to are Free Talk Live (GREAT show if you believe in liberty and want to know the truth), This Week in Tech, and KFI Tech Guy from kfi am 640 los angeles. there are tons more too.. go to www.podcastalley.com if you want to see the charts. |

yeah, its just like radio shows that you download instead of tuning in to. I had to write this huge paper on blogging this past spring for sociology class, it was teh ghey, but I guess I did learn alot of fun useless stuff.
Carefull about getting to hyped about this stuff though, there will be alot of talk and not much to back it up then money will fly out of the technology like a sinking ship and we will have a repeat of the 90's .com bubble.

What would be cooler if it was actually in REAL TIME; like XM radios, we need a DAP that goes a little farther than just playing MP3s and have it recieve XM/FM radio transmissions!
Anyway, this idea just sounds like a last minute extra feature. It's not really a bad idea or anything, some people prefer broadcasts or if you don't want them, just stick to downloading music. |
