Hi !!!. What's up ?. I was trying to get some ideas related to this question:
"How to increase your MARKET SHARE ?"...
For ex... Stealing your competitor's clients...

I will really apreciate if you contribute on this...

what field are you in? there are ways to undercut anyone, but how generic do you want me to be?

you can also try product differentiation. just doing something that the competition isn't doing. or product diversification...going for depth as well as breadth. offer more than the competitors...weather it be more/different services or more/different products

Well... I forgot to clarify that aspect... Just think it from the generic point of view...
I was making the Mkt & Loyalty Plan for a company called MAPFRE... This is a company that offers policies to his clients... I don't know how to translate it...
Obviously... I want generic ideas to see if I can adapt them to my plan... I want this, coz maybe in another subject I'm asked to make this with a product comp... not a service...

the BEST marketers have their target audience so dial'd before they make any kind of move. you need to specialize in one area of your company that specifically targets one type of person.

you make those clients your lively hood and refferal off that. if he wants his business bigger after that, branch out

There is no simple answer to you question - marketing is a complex amalgam of different processes. You must take into account:

* Situation Analysis (Market, Environment, Economy, Competitors)
* SWOT Analysis
* Objectives
* Market Segmentation
* Target market(s)
* Positioning
* Marketing Mix (4Ps for Product, 7Ps for Services)
* Economic Evaluation (Budgeting, profit forecast etc)

One of the most important lessons that i learnt from my marketing lecturer is that "first and foremost a company must differentiate itself from its competition and create and maintain a unique position in the market."

You must stand out from the pack!

P.S. Yes, Marketing is my major ;)
