Non-EDM music events Fri/Sat?

Hey guys, my brother's fiancee's brother is in town, it's his first time in NY and he's from Russia so you can imagine it's awesome for him to be here... I am in charge of taking him out tomorrow or Saturday... preferably Saturday...
Looking for a non-EDM event to take him to... meaning no Spirit or Avalon, etc... If anyone knows of a concert, outdoor music event (though it might rain) or jazz club or something that we can go to, please mention... I was looking at Knitting FActory and Roseland Ballroom and stuff but I don't know what that is that's going on there Fri/Sat... or I dunno... maybe some sort of EDM event will be cool just nothing big and crazy... no G&D :p
***Please remember that I am 19 and so can't get into anything over 21 either***
Any help is appreciated, and anyone who wants to come along is welcome, of course :) |

| Check the village voice;) they have all types of events.(jazz clubs which, I think are 21 but most of thet dont ask for id. |

yup the Village Voice is awesome for stuff like that.. its even online too...
im pretty sure its gonna rain bc of tropical storm cindy heading our way so i wouldnt plan anything outside... |

| Holy , I have no ing idea :eek: I've looked at everything and I have no idea who any of these acts are!! I'd take him to Comedy Cellar, too bad he doesn't speak English too well! I don't go out to these places... |
