Can I go to Ibiza for one night?

I'm going to Barcelona for 5 nights and considering Ibiza is just a ferry away, I was thinking I would check out Carl Cox and Christian Varela at Space, Sept 13. I dont want to spend any time in Ibiza other than checking out one of the big clubs.

For those of you who have been to either of the two cities, how easy/difficult is it to travel between them? Ideally I'd like to go to Ibiza on the 13th, and return straight from the club.

yes you can go for one night.. but if you are leaving from barcelona to ibiza by boat.. it is a 9 hour ride. Make sure you take the early morning boat lol

Someone told me the ferry takes about 7-8 hours. So if its only 1 day, i dno if it would be worth it for you.

Edit: Ok 9hrs.. my bad.

there are plenty of alternatives to ferrying there ..

www.vueling.com
www.iberia.com

Barcelona to Ibiza is the longer of the 2 routes.. the other from Valencia ..

check out vueling.com in particular .. i flew from Sevilla to Barcelona on it .. it's hub is in Barca since it's a Catalan airlines and i found their rates to be very reasonable ..

hav fun !

Holy , what is it - a PADDLE boat?

9 hours - forget that.

Sorry Carl! lol

If you go to Valencia, the Ferry to Ibiza is 4 hours. If you go a little more south of Valencia to Denia, the Ferry is 2 hours. But yeah, the Barcelona route is quite long!

I believe there is also an airport on the island. No idea how much a plane ticket would cost though.

Ya man... EU rawks!

I have a UK passport, so I'm always thinking about getting a job over there for a couple years. One of these days!

Flights intra-EU are dirt cheap too... You can go anywhere and everywhere. (That magical Spanish island anyone?) :) :) :)
