In a sad sort of way it's kind of funny, but this article reminds me of our current state in American politics and our apathetic, languishing masses whom either blindly or acceptingly consumes it's propaganda.

| that happened in turkey. there were 1,500 sheeps and only 450 died. You see? some survived maybe the "languishing masses whom either blindly or acceptingly consumes it's propaganda." Trancer-X do yuo really belief things in other countries are any different here? |

Would you mind decifering that for me? I'd like to figure out what you're trying to ask. |

yeah that was written really bad:o. Ok, what I was trying to ask was do you believe that Americans are the first to fall for propaganda? I mean not everyone is accepting what the government tells us. So to make this shorter and hopefully you will understand the question. Are Americans any different than what the Germans were under Nazis or are Americans the only masses where they fall for everthing the government tells us? |

I don't see how we could be any more predisposed to fall for propaganda, if that's what you're asking.
I had a distant relative (my grandmom's second cousin or something of a similar relation) who was in the S.S., while both of my grandfathers (who were also of German descent) fought for the U.S. against the Germans during WWII. Of course, I also had relatives that fought for opposing sides during the Civil War, but that's an entirely different story.
I think it's more or less a naïveté that runs through the entire human race. We want to be able to trust our leaders, especially during times of turmoil or difficulty. For me, however, they lost my trust quite some time ago - when I first discovered their hypocritical, seemingly malevolent policies which had clandestinely been put into place. I guess I've just grown to be cynical.
Anyway, WWII was another sham imposed on our world by a handful of wealthy industrialists and Wall Street financiers.

If you are going to tell me that the industries began World War II, I must ask, did you you take your meds this morning? The industries did seek to profit off of the war, at times in ways that are embarassing. However, to say it was the industries that began the war is just incorrect. If you want to talk about the blind leading the blind, it applies to all those who believe themselves to be educated above the masses and therefore sources of the 'correct' information at all times. |

The end of "The Pied Piper of Hamelin"
A shiver of fear ran through the councillors, but the Mayor shrugged and said excitedly: "We've saved fifty thousand florins!"
That night, freed from the nightmare of the rats, the citizens of Hamelin slept more soundly than ever. And when the strange sound of piping wafted through the streets at dawn, only the children heard it. Drawn as by magic, they hurried out of their homes. Again, the pied piper paced through the town, this time, it was children of all sizes that flocked at his heels to the sound of his strange piping. The long procession soon left the town and made its way through the wood and across the forest till it reached the foot of a huge mountain.
When the piper came to the dark rock, he played his pipe even louder still and a great door creaked open. Beyond lay a cave. In trooped the children behind the pied piper, and when the last child had gone into the darkness, the door reaked shut. A great landslide came down the mountain blocking the entrance to the cave forever. Only one little lame boy escaped this fate. It was he who told the anxious citizens, searching for their children, what had happened.
And no matter what people did, the mountain never gave up its victims. Many years were to pass before the merry voices of other children would ring through the streets of Hamelin but the memory of the harsh lesson lingered in everyone's heart and was passed down from father to son through the centuries. |

| I don't want to misinterpret why you posted that story, so perhaps you could enlighten me. |

Yeah, you've been taught many lies. And no, this is not a dream - it's not even the Matrix. :p

Keep in mind how the masses have been manipulated throughout all of recorded history. When are people going to finally wake up? Probably not as long as there are knuckleheads like metalgearsolid, content to be sitting at home playing some stupid video game while the fate of his country (along with everyone's personal freedoms) could be in jeopardy.
I just find it funny how more people don't question what happens in our government. I mean, Congress wasn't even told until a while later that a shadow government had been put into place - so what makes you so certain that we the people will never be tricked into being brainwashed and/or rounded up, like the Germans were in Nazi Germany?
