A lot of effort has gone in to this, and well done for that. However I would have thought that the objective of a tutorial such as this would be to produce a piece that reveals how to produce a track that might just remotely sound a bit commercial. The first I did was listen to the finished track. Would I want to learn how to produce this? No was the immediate answer.
To attempt to produce in Reason a "Finished Track" is in itself a flawed objective. More useful would be to demonstrate what a mix from Reason should look and sound like, a mix that then can be properly mastered elsewhere.
The producers who are doing great things with Reason, do so knowing it's limitations. A synth and sampling workstation is it - a one-stop-shop production studio it is not. |
