You guys. This is a successfull event that goes on in Europe as well as Canada. ing dj's, camping in the nature, cool folks, good vibes. You should all come!!! A Teknival is a free non-commercial weekend-long gathering, a celebration of the DIY (do it yourself) attitude, and an experiment in non-hierarchical organization. The festival encourages group autonomy and self-sufficiency.
Teknival is free from an entrance fee, but also from authority and leadership. Each individual or group is free to get involved however they want, for the love of what they do.
Teknival is a Do-It-Yourself free festival. You don’t need permission from anyone to get involved, bring some sound, stage a play, plan a workshop, organize a community kitchen…. Make like Nike and JUST ING DO IT!
Individuals looking to get involved with a project or perform at a stage should contact one of the above crews or post on the messageboard
Ontario’s 2005 Teknival will take place July 14-18, somewhere in southern Ontario (south of Sudbury).
Past festivals have occurred in the Bancroft area; this year the festival will be on a NEW SITE.
