Multiple Audiophile 2496s In One PC?

Anyone ever try putting more than 1 Audiophile 2496 into a computer? It supports up to 4, I know... but how do they interact with eachother? Is it like haveing four independant cards, or can the input audio from one be heard on another?

Curious because I'm going to need an extra pair of Audio/MIDI Inputs soon...

Checked for extension cards?

Anyways, I tried with a SB Live and a Audigy 2 once, didn't work! Could only use one @ the time, and the drivers was blaming me for this and that! :-P
I would've tried to get an extension card or MAYBE get a splitter if it's a in/ouput that doesn't need to be über high qual. Such as pc mic (for talking over skype etc.).

That's because SoundBlaster sucks. The M-audio Audiophile actually supports up to 4 cards in the same host PC. I'm just curious as to how they will interact with eachother.

OK, I am checking my Delta 1010 control panel and it shoes it can support four of them in the same PC. But the #1 is selectable and the rest are greyed out. From my understanding, the control panel will recognize them and do all the audio routing for you just to get you started. I assume in your sequencer instead of showing the card with the many inputs/outputs, it'll show all of the four cards input/outputs combined. But I haven't tried it since I don't need to. Maybe it'll show Audiophile 1, Audiophile 2, etc.
