i just convereted all my MP3 samples to WAV for use with Reason 3. when i try to use them, it says "bad format". however, the WAVs play fine in Winamp.
am i only able to use WAV samples specifically designed for use with Reason? |

Reason 2.5 only supports wav files in 16-bit and 24-bit format. I guess you are using a wav file that is 32-bit or higher. ( which I think Reason 3 also doesn't support ) |

and I believe the wav files should be in the 'Windows PCM' format. |

okay....the program that i was using converted the files in such a way that reason wasn't able to recognize them. i found a program called dbpoweramp that converts them correctly.
i wanted to be able to select my samples folder and have the program find all mp3s and convert them to wav but i couldn't find a free one that worked.
with this program, dbpoweramp, you can select files in windows explorer and batch convert using the right click menu. very nice.
