alright so i went to see deep dish last night at axis in boston. i saw them for a little while last year in toronto guv before going to another room to see marco v. i wasn't really into them much then so i figured what the hell i'd go last night. it was only 10 bucks.

i showed up at 10:45 and the place was already pretty filled. i was kinda surprised because it was fairly packed on a tuesday night. my style is definitely more trancy then it is progressive so i wasn't expecting to be blown away and i was way wrong. they did a really great job of slowly building the energy over the course of the night and then just ripping it up for the last hour or so. i can't id many tracks but i know they played the following. i feel like i knew a bunch of other tracks just that i never heard those remixes before. it was nice because it definitely made the night more enjoyable hearing a whole new side of music i felt i already knew. definitely check them out if you can =)

Songs I actually could ID
Freeze Frame?
Deep Dish - Flashdance (not sure which mix cause there are an assload of them)
Deep Dish ft. Steve Nicks - Dreams
Deep Dish - Say Hello (Extended Mix)
Terry Grant - I'll Kill You (Luke Chable Mix) <-- Song of the Night for Me
Paul Van Dyk ft. Wayne Jackson - The Other Side (Deep Dish Other then this Side Remix)

Red, were there only Sharam and Dean, or Ali also? because i have a feeling that ALi is not going to be in NYC ( according to the flyer they distribute with pic only two of them)

The two of them on the flyer were there, i didn't even know there was a third actually.

the only complaint that i had about last night was that Axis had the high frequencies cranked WAYYY to high. my ears are ringing hardcore because of it =( the mids and lows were pretty close to ideal though

that means Ali is not gonna be there:(
just as a note ( because you don't know ) Deep Dish is a duo DJs - Ali Dubfire and Sharam. Dean Coleman is a guy who spins warm up for them. They have been touring together for a pretty long time already but before Deep Dish used to play all night long without any openning DJs. But Dean is great also. I'm glad you enjoyed it.:)

I feel compelled to let everybody know that deep dish absolutely handed boston its own ass on a platter with french fries. Wow...i haven't heard a set like that in a while. They played for a while too. I got there at like 10:20 and thought i was really early, but ali came on around 10:30 and he got things started right, he played until about 11:30, then sharam came on and took the energy straight to another level until about 1ish when ali came back and they started tag-teaming, then they dropped say hello and the place went nuts. I had to leave at 1:30 i was beat...But just a heads up if your going to see them in NYC...they OWNED boston...
